the story

In this condominium on Meydenbauer Bay, a game developer's first request was to make his home feel like a movie set that he could come home to. His second request was to display his unique collections in a neat and tidy way. We started with creating drama with lighting, form, high contrast colors, and texture. Throughout the public areas, custom shelving and museum quality display cabinets showcase his collection of books, gaming figures and original science fiction art. The dining room features eight custom vitrine display cases, which form a large sculptural statement on its own, while organizing a collection of 2000 tiny Warhammer figurines.  The living room was remodeled to dramatize the fireplace and provide display space for his colorful Mexican papier-mâché sculptures. Frequent out of town guests enjoy the bay views and are lucky enough to retire to the guest room that doubles as an exciting, over the top home theater. A secret door becomes a fold down bed for when one tires of the high action video games presented on four screens.  A gamer's paradise.
